How long have you been playing basketball?

The first time I touched a basketball I was 6 years old. And ever since I’ve been playing. I passed through different youth leagues from regional through Youth 1st division called Jeugd Eredivisie basketball. Played one year in Gran Canaria, Spain. To end up playing college basketball and getting an education.

Do you feel like you always had the support you needed from your surroundings? Including the media?

Not all the time. But I do not rely on them. I got the support from close circles. And the rest is just extra to me. My focus is more set on where I want to go rather than what the media or the outside world is saying about me or my progress in life.

Who is your all time favorite basketball player?

As of now Russell Westbrook is my favourite player in the league right now. I love his competitive spirit, his explosiveness and his athleticism. he’s maybe not the most talented guy buy he is an elite player. Doesn’t take away that I love Lebron James, and other because there is a lot of players out there that I love watching and are on my all time favorite list.

What tips do you have for basketball players or any other athlete that are just starting out?

Just go out there and work hard, do not let anyone tell you “You can’t do it.” If they do, prove them wrong and have fun with it. Have fun in the process of becoming better as an athlete, because it will make you better as individual.
